We understand the importance of formal registration to establish credibility, eligibility for funding, and legal recognition. Whether you are starting a non-governmental organization (NGO) or a society, our experienced team is here to guide you through the registration process.

The registration process for NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) and societies in India generally involves the following steps:

Choose the Type of Organization: Determine whether you want to register your organization as an NGO under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882, or as a society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. Consider the objectives and nature of your organization to decide which form is most appropriate.

Name Reservation: Select a unique name for your organization and ensure it is not identical or similar to any existing registered entity. Check the availability of the name with the Registrar of Societies or the Registrar of Trusts, as applicable.

Memorandum of Association (MOA) or Trust Deed: Prepare the MOA or Trust Deed, depending on whether you are registering as a society or a trust. The document should outline the objectives, governing structure, rules, and regulations of your organization.

Governing Body or Trustees: Form a governing body or board of trustees that will be responsible for the administration and management of the organization. Include their names, addresses, and designations in the application.

Prepare Required Documents: Gather the necessary documents, which may include identity proof, address proof, and photographs of the members of the governing body or trustees. Additionally, you may need to provide a copy of the MOA or Trust Deed, along with any other supporting documents required by the registration authority.

Application Submission: Submit the completed application form, along with the supporting documents, to the respective Registrar of Societies or Registrar of Trusts in your state or district. Ensure that the application is filled out accurately and signed by the authorized representatives.

Application Review and Verification: The registration authority will review the application and documents submitted. They may conduct inquiries and verification checks, including physical inspection of the registered office premises.

Certificate of Registration: If the registration authority is satisfied with the application, compliance, and verification process, they will issue a Certificate of Registration. This certificate serves as proof of your organization's legal existence as an NGO or society.
